The baseball team beat Como-Pickton 22-0 in its season opener Tuesday night.

“Getting the big win was a good way to start out the season,” senior pitcher and first baseman Ty Garrett said.  “We played good, and were able to put the ball into play a lot.”

In the first inning, the team batted around twice and scored16 runs.  The big inning set the tone for the rest of the game.

“It was a fun way to start out my last high school season,” senior shortstop Garrett Woods said.  “Games like this are fun to play, but they won’t all be this easy to win.  I’m looking forward to playing the rest of the season.”
